5 Enjoyable Things to Do on a Rainy Day in Williamsburg, Virginia
Colonial Williamsburg Art Museums
The main street and houses of Colonial Williamsburg are not the best to visit on a rainy day. However, you can still enjoy the other parts of this attraction. Rainy days are the perfect time to visit the art museums of Colonial Williamsburg. Both the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum and the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Art Museum are extensive and not to be missed. Admission is included with all Colonial Williamsburg tickets.
Williamsburg Winery Cellar Tours and Tastings
The Williamsburg Winery is gorgeous on a crisp, clear day, however it is also the perfect place to visit when you need to get out of the rain. The winery has many different cellar tours and tastings that are offered throughout the day and are indoors. They also have a tavern where you can grab lunch and a gift shop with unique souvenirs to browse. We’re okay with a little rain if it gives us an excuse to enjoy wine in the middle of the day!
Alewerks Brewing Company Tour and Tasting
If you prefer beer to wine, Williamsburg Virginia also has a brewery. Alewerks Brewing Company offers one tasting tour per day, however they also have a tap room and gift shop for you to enjoy. In addition, the brewery hosts some great events, such as trivia night, painting, and live music. Click here to see their upcoming events.
