3 End of Summer Events You Don’t Want to Miss in Williamsburg, VA!
September is here, which means that summer is coming to a close. However, with the weather still warm and sunny, there are still lots of summer events to enjoy in Williamsburg, Virginia!
But, hurry! These activities won’t be available much longer!
1. Enjoy an Outdoor Concert
Williamsburg, Virginia has no shortage of musical talent. Throughout the summer, musicians of all genres come outdoors and perform in the open air. This is a special treat for all. Many locals come out with their folding chairs and a bottle of wine, ready to enjoy the music.
With the summer coming to a close, these outdoor concerts will be going on hiatus until next year. However, if you didn’t have the chance to enjoy one of these events this summer, you’re still in luck! Outdoor live music is still going on at a few venues in the area.

2. Enjoy an Amusement Park
Our local amusement park, Busch Gardens, has returned to its limited fall schedule. However, they still are hosting some great end of the summer events that should not be missed!
Their classic end of summer event is the Bier Fest at Busch Gardens. Here, they celebrate the end of summer by offering a variety of beers from all over the world for tasting. They also offer a wide variety of locally crafted beers, as well as some delicious German foods to welcome in the fall season.

3. Go to the Beach
Beach season isn’t over quite yet! With Williamsburg, Virginia so close to the coast, there is no excuse for missing out on a beach visit this summer. Before the cool weather sets in, here are some of our favorite beaches.
Virginia Beach
Only about an hour and a half from Williamsburg, this is the most popular beach Virginia has to offer. In addition to the beach itself, the Virginia Beach Boardwalk has lots of shopping and entertainment to enjoy. If you want to see the ocean, this is the closest beach, making it a great choice for a quick, weekend trip. Click here for information and location!
Yorktown Beach Front
If you’re looking for something a bit closer to Williamsburg, Yorktown Beach is the best place to be! With over a 2 acre stretch of beach front and a beautiful boardwalk with shopping and live music, Yorktown beach is not to be missed. This location has areas for picnicking, fishing, and boating.
